It’s been a long time since I’ve hung out on a college campus and I forgot about the nuances of dorm living. Mark and I are chilling in one of the residence halls at Hobart & William Smith College, recalling some fond memories of our college living days. I’m all registered for Sunday’s Musselman 70.3 race. Now, it’s relaxing time before the afternoon athlete’s meeting.
But this morning, we took a stroll to the community pancake breakfast in Geneva and took in some unusual sights of the campus. The pancake breakfast (as if I would pass up pancakes!) was hosted by the United Methodist Church and was a fundraiser for the Community Lunch Program.
They giant pair of scissors I presume is an artistic sculpture but it still looks, um, unusual.
And I posed with a statue of Elizabeth Blackwell, M.D., a graduate of the Medical School of Geneva (now Hobart) and the first female physician in the United States.
